From 1480 to 1750 the masses of many countries where whipped up into a frenzy, the powers that be used fear, intimidation and propaganda to conjure up mass hysteria and hatred for so called “unclean spirits”. I am of course referring to “witch hunts”.
Rape is no joke
The Socialist Party of England and Wales has launched a campaign called “Rape Is Not a Joke” with the aim of tackling the prevalence of jokes about sexual assault in comedy.

US: Capitalism to blame for “Frankenstorm” disaster
The gigantic “Frankenstorm” Hurricane Sandy has put thousands out of their homes, millions out of power, and claimed 59 lives across the Northeast. Preliminary estimates of the damage reach up to $50 billion, which would make Sandy the most expensive storm in US history.
